I just ran across this interview with Newt Gingrich on ABC’s “This Week”.

Basically Newt is saying that the reason for increasing violence in society is due to Liberalism, and video  game violence. 

My GOD, does he really believe the crap that he is spouting.  If anything it is Conservatism that is causing the increased violence.  He actually believes that a legitimate concealed carry law would stop violence like what happened at Virginia Tech.  Maybe, but having thousands of people running around with a 9MM pistol on their belt would certainly cause more unnecessary deaths than it would save. 

It isn’t video game violence and free speech that is making people desensitized to violence. 

Could it be perhaps the view that the only way to solve a problem with someone is to attack?  The entire world views us as an overaggressive bully that is quick to launch a bomber should we dislike someone, could it be this societal view that is filtering down to personal relationships rather than simply a governmental “diplomatic” tactic?

I feel for everyone at Virginia Tech, and it angers me that politicians are trying to use the tragedy to push forth their own agenda.

Please Mr. Gingrich, think about what you are saying, putting more guns on the street is not going to help anyone.
